Travelling west from Estepona and its charming marina, you are heading towards Gibraltar – the area is home to numerous unspoilt beaches and popular marinas including Casares Playa, La Duquesa and Sotogrande – the home of Polo on the Costa del Sol.
Offering a more traditional experience the area is popular with tourists who look to holiday away from the bustling nightlife destinations.

Traditional seafood served at marina front restaurants and tranquil blue flag beaches contribute to the charm of West Estepona.
The area offers a wealth of exciting local attractions including the white washed inland village of Casares and some of the most prestigious coastal golf courses including the finca courtesin home to the Volvo Masters, Valerama in Sotogrande, host of the Ryder cup and the world championship and the magnificent links course at Alcadeisa offering views directly over to Gibraltar and North Africa.

La Duquesa marina is situated half way between Marbella and Gibraltar. Set in a beautiful location on the Costa del Sol, this marina is really one of the best in Europe. Nestled between two blue flag beaches complete with beach bars and restaurants, La Duquesa offers a tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle you would normally expect to find on the Costa del Sol.


The Marina opens directly onto sandy beaches that stretch for kilometres down to Playa Casares with a connecting promenade to the neighbouring town of Sabinillas offering a wide range of amenities. 


Heading further West you will find Sotogrande with its prestigious marina, renowned world class golf courses and some of the most desirable real estate West of Marbella!
Renowned for its Polo, the Santa Maria Polo club has 11 grounds and is the international Polo cantre of Spain.

The area is situated within under one hour’s drive to Malaga international airport, however is also serviced by Gibraltar airport which is currently also undergoing an expansion project. In line with this expansion, the numbers of flights are increasing; Monarch airlines have increased their flight schedules between Gibraltar and London Luton and Manchester by 16 flights a week.
